Melody Ellis is a Melbourne-based writer and academic. She completed her undergraduate studies in fine art at Sydney College of the Arts, and her doctorate in creative writing at RMIT University. Her interdisciplinary writing practice—including fiction, narrative nonfiction and criticism—explores an interest in ‘negative’ affect, praxis, aesthetics and critical theory. Melody teaches literary studies in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University, where she is a Research Fellow and the Centre Coordinator of the Digital Ethnography Research Centre.
